Cape Henlopen State Park
Located at the point where Delaware Bay connects with the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Henlopen State Park is a beautiful place to enjoy more than six miles of coastline, including the area's unique pine-covered dunes. The campground has tent and RV camping, with some sites open year-round. Most campsites have water and electricity (30-, 50-, and 100-amp), but no sewer hookups.
Each campsite has a picnic table and a fire ring. There are also 20 walk-in tent spots. The campground has a playground, laundry room, and camp store. Nightly rates vary from $20 to $57 depending on the time of year and type of campsite. Rates are slightly lower for Delaware residents than out-of-state visitors.
Delaware Seashore State Park
Delaware Seashore State Park has 26 miles of shoreline (6 ocean and 20 bayfront). The park has two campgrounds, one on the north inlet of the Indian River and one on the south inlet. Both campgrounds offer RV and tent campsites with full hookups (30- and 50-amp electricity, water, and sewer). The south campground also has some spots with no hookups.
Both campgrounds have bathhouses and a laundry room. The park has a museum, two restaurants, and a full-service marina. Rates vary from $23 to $56 per night depending on the season and type of campsite. Delaware residents get a discount. Cottages and cabins are also available to rent.
Deep Branch Family Campground
Deep Branch Family Campground is open from May through October. Tent and RV camping are available. Campsites include water and power (30-amp), but there are no sewer hookups at this campground.
The campground has a swimming pool, play area, game room, and a wide variety of outdoor activities (cornhole, volleyball, horseshoes, bocce, and more). There is a heated bathhouse and an on-site camp store with a cafe. Nightly campsites are $35; some sites are wooded, and some are situated in an open field. Weekly, monthly, and seasonal rentals are available.
Big Oaks Campground
Located less than 3 miles from the Beach, Big Oaks Campground offers RV and tent camping from May through October. The campground has a swimming pool, playground, game room, shuffleboard, horseshoes, basketball court, bathhouse, camp store. Free Wi-Fi is available in designated locations. There is a hiking trail to the beach.
The campground offers a shuttle service to local attractions. Tent camping is $50 per night. Full hookup RV sites range from $69 to $75 nightly, depending on power type (30-amp or 50-amp). The campground also has sites for pop-up campers that don't have sewer hookups; they are $50 per night. Season-long rentals are available. The campground also has rental cabins and mobile homes.
Homestead Campground
Homestead Campground is a good home base if you want to be able to quickly and easily get to any of the beaches in Delaware. Open May through September, this private campground is just 7 miles from Cape Henlopen State Park. It offers full-hookup campsites with water, sewer, and electricity (30-and 50-amp) power, as well as sites for tents and small RVs that have water and electricity.
The campground has two fenced dog parks, a fishing pond, a game room, a family pool, an adults-only pool, a Wi-Fi lounge, a pavilion, a gazebo, a community room, and places to play cornhole and basketball. Nightly rates vary from $65 to $100. Weekly and monthly rates are available. Cabin rentals are also available.
Holly Lake Campsites
Holly Lake Campsites is a private campground located approximately 9 miles from the beaches of Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The campground is open from May to October. Full-hookup and non-sewer sites are available. Some sites have 30-amp power and some have 50-amp. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campground.
The campground has a lot of family-friendly amenities, including a game room, swimming pool, splash pad, nature trails, miniature golf, a disc golf course, multiple bathhouses, and even a petting zoo. Overnight camping ranges from $45 to $70, depending on the type of site. Seasonal rentals are available. Rental cabins are also available.
Tall Pines Campground Resort
Open all year, Tall Pines Campground Resort is a great place to enjoy gated-access tent or RV camping near the beaches of Delaware. The campground has a splash park, swimming pool, fitness center, playgrounds, access to a bicycle path that goes to the beach, heated bathhouses, and a camp store.
The campground has designated RV sites, which rent for $64 to $75 per night from April through October, and $40 the rest of the year. All RV sites have 30- and 50-amp power and water, though water is turned off during winter, from December to March. Tent sites range from $54 to $58 per night from April through October and are otherwise $30 per night. Weekly rates are available.
Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Delaware Beaches
Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ at Delaware Beaches is a family-focused campground located just a short drive away from Dewey, Rehoboth, and Lewes beaches. The campground is open from April to October. Tent and RV campsites are available, including full-hookup sites and ones without sewer access.
Power is available in 20-, 30-, or 50-amp options. Wi-Fi is provided throughout the campground.
